Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is necessary. We have a number system where patients can pick a number from a sheet to determine the order. We usually see up to 5 patients in one day.
Do I have to have insurance?
No insurance is needed. If you do not have insurance, we are here to help you get plugged into the health care system.
Can I get my medications through the HOPE Clinic?
We are an acute care clinic, not a chronic care clinic. Therefor, we are here for your acute problems. If you need chronic care, we provide access to that care.
What if my condition is something the HOPE Clinic cannot manage?
We work hard to refer you to a physician or clinic that can help. In the worst case scenario, we help you get to the ER.
How many times can I be seen at the HOPE Clinic? We usually only see patients onceWhat will my experience be like at the HOPE Clinic?
You will be treated with respect by Medical and Pharmacy students. You can expect to be seen by a medical and pharmacy student team who will then assess you. You will then be seen by a licensed physician and pharmacist to determine your best plan of care.
What is an access to care clinic?
Access to care clinics allow you to have an initial health assessment where we then determine the best care suited to your needs. We then refer you to a clinic where you can be further cared for on a chronic basis.
If I am referred to a community clinic, what happens next?
We have forms that you would normally fill out at your first visit to the clinic you will be referred to. We help you fill out these forms and fax them over to the clinic as well as set up an appointment time. If you do not have transportation to the clinic, we will provide you with a bus pass.
